Our friend and collaborator on our Hope Tales project, Jules Pretty from Essex University, has written a piece that we feel compelled to share because it encapsulates so many hopeful facts and thoughts about us as humans; how people throughout ancient history have lived in more diverse ways than we ever realised; how stories of linear journeys are often false and told by those in power with a particular agenda; how societies have become “stuck” many times before and simply walked away to find new ways of being. Are we perhaps in a stuck now in a place of overconsumption and anxiety? Might we walk away together to a better future…
