The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Rapid Transition team will be attending COP26 in Glasgow, UK and we would love to meet you and chat about all things climate action. Here is a quick overview of how you can get involved with all things Alliance at COP26.

Events
- The Rapid Transition Alliance will be hosting our main event: ‘Is there hope? An evening of climate debates, storytelling and music‘ on the 6th November at Maggie Mays in Glasgow.
- Alliance members Spirit of Football, in partnership with our sports network ‘Cooldown’ are organising ‘The World COP’, a fairplay football tournament to bring people together to talk about climate change and the role that sport can play in tackling the climate emergency.
- We are co-hosting an online event- ‘Democratise to Decarbonise: transforming democracy to save the planet’ with Alliance members Compass on 8th November.

COP_art
The Alliance have teamed up with artist Judith Dean, Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts, UWE, Bristol, to hold an exhibition of art to promote creative responses to climate change.
